Iran Crowned as England’s Int’l Tournament Champion

Iran’s male and female Taekwondo teams have become the champions of England’s International Tournament, standing atop 53 competing world states. In the male section, the Iranian squad won the country 2 gold, 4 silver, and a bronze medal. Korea and Russia followed Iran, standing second and third, respectively. In female section also, the Iranians crowned the first title with 3 golds, and a bronze. Russia and China stood second and third, in turn. Some 560 competitors from 53 countries took part in England’s International Tournament, from among which Iran was also honored with the ‘best team’ title. In all, the Iranian team members swept 5 gold, 4 silvers, and 2 bronze medals
