President Ahmadinejad Applauds Nat’l Taekwondo, Sitting Volleyball Teams
The Iranian president has applauded the Islamic Republic’s national Taekwondo team, as well as the sitting volleyball team for their performances in international arenas. In a text message on Thursday—August 20, the President congratulated the Iranian national Taekwondo team for its glorious victory in the 2010 China World Cup. The message read
I congratulate the nation and the people on the victories of the Iranian Taekwondo team and the sitting volleyball team in the 2010 China World Cup and the U.S. sitting volleyball World Cup, respectively. At the moment, with its determined youth, the Iranian nation has conquered the peaks of global honor more than ever before. The Iranian youth have now brought the nation glory.
