World Taekwondo Federations Announces Final 2019
Para Taekwondo Ranking/ Iran Books two Tickets
The final rankings in Para taekwondo in 2019 has been announced and Iranian athlete Asghar Azizi who gained the points in European Championships, achieved the second quota for the Iranian Taekwondo team in 2020 Tokyo Paralympic.
Iran Taekwondo federation reported that Iranian Athlete Asghar Azizi gained 160/48 points in the final Para Taekwondo Olympic rankings which was announced by the world Taekwondo Federations. He secured Iran's second Para taekwondo quota in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and placed among the four top athelets.
Azizi obtained the points in European Championships and his place among the four top athletes results in Iran's first presence in Paralympics with two athletes.
Mahdi Pourrahnama secured his place in the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics in 2019,having garnered the highest points in M-75.
The national team preparation camp for 2020 Tokyo Olympics is underway in Kish Island until January 16, 2020.
The Iranian Para Taekwondo team is led by Payam Khanlar Khani as the head coach and Mehdi Ahmadi as the coach.
