Iranian athletes compete in Croatia Open 2019



The iconic captain of Iran's taekwondo team, Sajjad Mardani and his teammate Farzan Ashoorzadeh, participate in the Croatia Open 2019.

According to the Public Relation's department of the Iranian Taekwondo federation, The Croatia Open 2019 is a two day tournament which is taking place in DOM SPORTOVA (Sport hall 1), Zagreb on 9-10 Nowember 2019.

The tournament is being held with participation of 313 athletes and Iran's squad participate with 2 athletes; namely Sajjad Mardani (M+87kg) and Farzan Ashoorzadeh (M-68 kg).

The event will help participants collect points to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Iran Team is led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh as the coach.

Croatia Open 2019 is a G1 one and the gold, silver and bronze medal winners will garnish 10, 6, and 3.6 point in increasing the Olympic ranking.
