Iranian Kyorugi Squad, reach 2 Bronze in third round of the Grand Prix
2019
The third edition of grand pix 2019, came to the end and Iranian Taekwondo squad grabbed 2 Bronze medal.
The 3 day event, was held on 18th _20th October, and Iran Soroush Ahmadi (M-68kg) and Armin Hadipour(M-58kg), reached Bronze medal, according to the Public Relation's department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation.
Mirhashem Hoseini(M-68kg) , Sjjad Mrdani(M+80kg) and Saeed Rajabi(M+80kg), the other three Iranian athletes, failed to secure medals.
Farzan Ashoorzadeh would join the team in subsequent matches which will take place in Serbia before long.
The event helped participants collect points to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The Team is led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh and Vahid Abdollahi as the coaches.
This tournament was a G4 one and the gold, silver and bronze medal winners garnished 40, 24, and 14.4 points, respectively and would also collect cash prizes of $5000, $3000 and $1000 in turn.
