"Omid" –U23 league will be held



Tehran –Feb 15th 2017

Taekwondo contests named "Omid Cup" will be held in male category with the presence of 9 teams, in accordance with the world cup championships methods on Feb 27th 2017 in taekwondo house.

Taekwondo athletes from 17 to 23 are eligible to participate in the mentioned contests.

Meanwhile each team is able to use two athletes over 23 but just one of them can participate in per contest.
The mentioned contests will be held in accordance with the world cup championships rules in duration of 9 weeks and each team must attend with 5 taekwondo athletes & 1 reserve (weights in total 373 kg or less)
Taekwondo athletes in each weight category start a 5 minute round in order of light weights to heavy one and at the end of the 1st round the points will be calculated.

After that in the second and third rounds, athletes in each weigh category is eligible to fight with any other weight categories and the number of allowed replacements of athletes are max12 times.
