Iran’s Soroush Ahmadi stands second in 2019 world Taekwondo Championships



Motivated young Iranian Taekwondo athlete, Soroush Ahmadi, grabs the silver in the 2019 World taekwondo championships which ended on 15_19 May in Manchester Arena.

The event was held with the participation of more than 975 athletes from 150 countries plus one refugee team.

Soroush reached the final on the last day of the event after overcoming his five opponents, namely: Christopher Sabbagh(LBN), Hamad mabrouk(KSA), Ibrahim Zarman(INA), Javad Aghayev(AZE) and Jaouad Achab(BEL).

The opening final of the World Championships drew Soroush against the 2016 Rio Olympic champion, Shuai Zhao from China.

The Iran's male squad was led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh and Vahid Abdollahi as the coaches
