Opening Ceremony of the 3rd World President Cup-Asian Region
Tehran Feb 2019-- Opening ceremony of the 3rd world president cup championship was held.
The Opening ceremony of the 3rd world president cup championship, 2019 was held this afternoon (Feb, 28th) in "Olympic" Hall of Kish Island with the presence of Dr. Choue, president of world Taekwondo Federation, Kyu Seok lee, president of the Asian Taekwondo union and Mr. Ahmadi, Deputy Minister for Culture and Development of the public Sports at the ministry of Sports and Youth, Seyyed Mohammad Pooladgar, president of the Iran Taekwondo Federation, Gholam Hossein Mozafari, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Kish Free Zone Organization, Mahmoud Afshardoust, Managing Director of the Sports and Recreationinstitute of the Kish Free Zone, Amir Arab, Chairman of the Board of the Sport and Recreation institute of the Kish free zone and member of the Board of Directors of the Taekwondo Federation of Iran, Shin Chal Kang, president of the Technical Committee of the Iran Taekwondo Federation, Jung hun kim, Secretary-General of the Asian Taekwondo union, Sang Chaun Kim, tournament Technical Observer, Jae bung lee, president of the referee committee of the Asian Taekwondo Union and the present teams at the event.
At the beginning of this ceremony the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was broadcast and then verses of the Qur'an were read. After that, all the teams went to the parade and Sajjad Mardani, our country's proud Taekwondo player hold the flag.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Gholamhossein Mozaffari, chairman of the board and director of the Kish Free Zone Organization, said: "I am very happy that today, Kish island hosts the world president cup championship and I respect the presence of Dr. Choue, the president of the World Federation, Mr. Ahmadi, Deputy Minister of Culture and Development of the ministry of sport and youth and also the president of the Iran Taekwondo Federation. I hope all those who attend this event have spent a lot of happy days and we are also a good host for your loved ones."
Then, Abdul Hamid Ahmadi, the deputy of the culture and development of the public sports at ministry of sport and youth, said: "On behalf of Dr. Soltani Fard, the Minister of Sport, I have welcomed the presence of Dr. Choue, World Federation President, president of the Asian Taekwondo Union and the Taekwondo players from different countries who has attended in this tournament. I would like to thank Mr. Pooladgar, the president of the Iran Taekwondo Federation, for his great efforts to host the tournament in Iran. I also thank the Kish Free Zone officials for hosting this event."
He added: "I hope that this tournament will be as good as possible in terms of technical and ethical issues, and we will be a good host for this important tournament." Iran is ready to host various sports competitions, and we will be able to host as Taekwondo in other sports. Thanks to all those who tried to make this sport event better."
Then, Kyu seok lee, the president of Asian Taekwondo union said that"It is my pleasure to be in the third round of these competitions in Kish Island, which has a lot of historical attractions". I hope that athletes and participants will be able to demonstrate their best ability and earn excellent results."
The president of the Asian Taekwondo union also noted: "Taekwondo is a healthy sport, a good defense sport and a human and moral education, and Taekwondo players should help not only themselves but also their community, their country and development of the world. Thanks to Sayyed Mohammad Pooladgar, the Vice-President of the Taekwondo Union and the Iran Taekwondo Federation for hosting of this event, and I wish you all success.
Then the swearing notes of the athletes and referees were read and handed over to the president of the World Federation. After that, the Poomsae team of South Korea includes the Kang Min Seung and Kim San-Hoo, the two 2018 Asian Games champions, performed the new Poomsae forms. The end of this ceremony was also accompanied by the performance of the Khorasan Razavi province team and Hammadang team of our country.
