Green & Brown Join Red, White & Blue

Dec 2017-- USA Taekwondo can today announce that it has secured the services of world renowned coaches Paul Green and Gareth Brown, formerly of the hugely successful GB Taekwondo program.

The coaching duo will begin working for USA Taekwondo on February 1, 2018 as National Team Coaching Directors, and are tasked with developing and growing the U.S. program with the intent of making it the best in the world before the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

Both coaches had been part of the successful GB Taekwondo set-up, with Green having coached Jade Jones to two Olympic gold medals.
He has also coached newly crowned World Taekwondo Female Athlete of the Year, Bianca Walkden, who recently became the first taekwondo athlete to win all four Grand Prix events in a series.
The pair is due to join USA Taekwondo on February 1, where they will take up the post of national team coaching directors.

It is hoped they will help to develop and grow the United States’ program with the target of making it the most successful in the world by the time of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

USA Taekwondo claim the appointments mark the start of their biggest-ever talent identification process and is aimed at finding potential medal winners for Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028.
