2 Medals for Iran in Kazakhstan Open
At the conclusion o f Kazakhstan Open, the representatives of Iran succeeded in winning 2 medals. ,Armin Hadipour, -54 kg and Omid Amidi, -87 kg, won a Gold and a Silver medal respectively.
Behnam Asbaghi, Farzad Zolghadri and Mohammad Kazmi however, could not achieve any medals.
The head coach of Iran national team, Bijan Moghanlou, says, ‘we gained our goals in Kazakhstan. Armin Hadipour got 10 points and could improve his ranking position. Omid Amidi also acquired 6 points and by beating the representative of France, he contributed to Sajjad Mardani’s position in ranking. We are doing our best to have 2 athletes in the top 20 ranks of each Olympic weight category.’
