WTF President Attends Opening Ceremony of 2015 Brazil Open
WTF President Chungwon Choue attended the opening ceremony of the 2015 Brazil Open, which kicked off in Rio, Brazil on October 10 for a three-day run.
The 2015 Brazil Open, which was granted the WTF's G1 status for the first time, was aimed at promoting taekwondo in Brazil and also educating technical officials, who will work for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games taekwondo competitions.
Carlos Nuzman, president of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Organizing Committee, also attended the ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, WTF President Choue thanked Carlos Fernandes, president of the Brazil Taekwondo Federation, and awarded the plaque of appreciation.
Choue will visit the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee office on October 13 to have a meeting with Organizing Committee President Nuzman and will also visit the taekwondo venue.
