Tsunami of Taekwondo Won his Fourth Grand Prix Medal



Farzan Ashourzadeh snatched the Gold medal of -68 kg in Grand Prix, Moscow after 4 wins while Masoud Hajizavareh was dropped out one step before Bronze.

In the second round of his first match, Farzan beat the representative of Brazil 25-4.

He then brushed his Korean rival aside with 12 points difference in the middle of the third round.

In the semi final, Farzan pounded Germany 10-5 and finally bagged the Gold medal after crushing the Mexican athlete 8-5.

In -68 kg, the representative of Mexico stood on the second place while the third place went to Korea and Germany.

Tsunami of Taekwondo has won 1 Silver and 2 more Gold medals in Grand Prixes in 2014 and 2015.

Farzan succeeded in adding 40 points to his Olympic ranking points after his achievement in this event.

Bijan Moghanlou led the male team in this event, and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi accompanied the team as coaches.
