Yaghoubi Grabbed the Bronze Medal of Grand Prix
Abolfazl Yaghoubi clinched the Bronze medal of -68 kg in Grand Prix, Moscow which was a G-4 event.
In his first match, Abolfazl defeated his Canadian rival 15-3. He, then, downed the representative of Spain in the golden point round. In his third match, Abolfazl trounced Russia’s Aleksy Denisenko 15-14.
He finally settled for the Bronze medal after losing the match to Korea 6-8.
Yaghoubi added 14.4 points to his Olympic ranking points by this achievement.
Bijan Moghanlou led the male team in this event, and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi accompanied the team as coaches.
