Iran's Achievement in Grand Prix, Astana
Iran succeeded in winning 3 medals out of 4 Olympic weight categories in Grand Prix 2014.
This event was held on 29-31 August in Astana, Kazakhstan. 206 athletes from 50 countries participated in this G4 event. Mahdi Khodabakhshi, -80 kg, won a Gold medal, Farzan Ashourzadeh , -58 kg, won a Silver medal and Behnam Asbaghi, -68 kg, won a Bronze medal.
Sjad Mardani and Alireza Nasr Azadani could not gain a medal in this event.
Bijan Moghanlou was the head coach of Iran delegation and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi accompanied the team as coaches.
