Azad University grabbed the Championship Cup from Shahdari Varamin in the gold round
4th Asian Clubs Championships was concluded with the championship of Azad University club.
5 teams from Afghanistan, India and Iraq and 3 teams from Iran participated in 4th Asian Clubs Championships. On the last day of the event, Reza Habibi from Azad University could overcome Behnam Bayat from Shahrdari Varamin in the gold round and as a result Azad University could stand on the first place.
In the final round, Mahdi Khodabakhshi from Azad University could beat Omid Amidi from Shahrdari Varamin 5-1, Ebrahim Mardani from Azad University was beaten by Ali Shakeri from Shrdari Varamin 7-10, Mohhammad Khamseh from Shrdari Varamin won the match against Davoud Abdorezaie from Azad University 4-7, Pouria Erfanian from Shahdari Varamin outperformed Reza Habibi from Azad University 5-6 and Behnam Bayat from Shahrdari Varamin was beaten by Reza Habibi from Azad University.
According to the final results of 4th Asian Clubs Championships Azad University became the Champion, Shahrdari Varamin won the second place, the third place went to Pas Ghavamin and Bakhtar club form Afghanistan achieved the fourth place.
At the end of the event, Alashrahan Zabun from Albasra club, Iraq was introduced as the best head of team, Nasrollah Nasri Nejad and Daniel Vaheh were recognized as the best referees, Seyed Nemat Khalifeh from Azad University club was named the best head coach and the title of the most technical athlete went to Abolfazl Yaghoubi from Shahradi Varamin club.
Finally, the representative club from India received the fair play cup.
