Co-hosted by the 2015 Gwangju Universiade Organizing Committee and the UNOSDP, the program drew a total of 34 athletes and para-athletes, aged between 18 and 25. The concept of the UNOSDP Youth Leadership Program is to support young people around the world by providing them with opportunities to engage in sport as a means of contributing to development of the society.

The 2015 Gwangju Universiade Organizing Committee plans to host the same program in 2014 and 2015.
