New Composition of the Participating Team in the Combat Games
Karimi, the head coach of the participating team in the Combat Games said, ''The first phase of the preparation camp of the National Team that will be dispatched to the Combat Games started on Saturday, Aug. 17th.''
He added for selecting the best athletes, qualification competitions were held within the preparation camp and the following athletes were finally chosen: Mohammad Kazemi, Behnam Asbaghi, Alireza Nasr Azadani, Masoud Hajizavareh, Farzad Abdollahi and Kourosh Rajoli.
The 2nd Combat Games will be held in tag-team format and the total weight of the athletes should not exceed 432 kg.
Because of the special format of these competitions, the technical cadre selected the athletes based on 2 criteria:
1. The ability to fight and gain points.
2. Management of the games and maintaining the points.
