Taekwondo action continues in Chuncheon and Viena



The Taekwondo activity doesn’t stop. After the 7th Asian Junior Championships and the 2013 Mediterranean Games, the action now moves to Chuncheon (Korea) and Viena (Austria) for the Chuncheon International Kora Open and the Taekwondo competition at the Viena World Sports Festival 2013.
Chuncheon International Kora Open starts on July 2nd Hoban Gym (Chunceon City, Gangwon-do) and finishes on July 9th. The competition will put together 3,000 athletes from 50 different countries, divided into 3 divisions: Kyorugi, Colour Belts Kyorugi and Poomsae.
The Kyorugi division will differ between Korean and International fighters. Korean Male and Female athletes will compete in 10 different weight categories in the Junior competition and 8 weight categories in the Senior one. International participants will be divided into 5 Junior weight categories and 4 Senior divisions. Both Korean and International players will also be able to compete against each other in the Team competition (5 players per team).
Taekwondo will be included for the first time in this year’s edition of the World Sports Festival, which includes 12 other more sports. The World Sports Festival is a youth sports festival that aims to bring young athletes competing in different sports and from all over the world together to join in unity.
The event will take plance in Viena (Austria) and finishes on July 7th with 4 main divisions in competition according to ETU/WTF standards.
